This position is assigned to the McDowell County Parks and Recreation Department. Work hours will routinely be during the evening hours; Monday through Friday and occasional partial weekend days. No more than 14 hours per week. Physical requirements are standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 100 pounds, walking long distances, working outside in heat and cold, and riding in vehicles.
The person in this position will be assisting with all aspects of sports programs including; Youth baseball, Youth Softball, Youth Basketball, Youth Football, Youth Soccer, Youth Swimming, Adult Softball and Adult Basketball. This will include but not be limited to: sign-ups, drafts, finding and screening coaches, finding and screening referees and umpires, scheduling games and venues (regular season and playoffs), and all other duties as assigned. Other specific duties and responsibilities will be discussed with applicant at the interview process.
Candidate must possess a valid NC driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle.
