The McDowell County Government Channel was established to provide quality and accurate information to County residents concerning the activities and services of their government.

The Government Channel McD-TV is broadcast on Channel 192 on Charter Spectrum and Channel 11 on Optimum formerly Morris Broadband. Those without access to cable service can view the live stream below. You can also find the McDowell County Commissioner meetings and other original programming on our YouTube page.

County Commissioner meetings can be seen on McD-TV on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm following their meeting held on the second Monday of each month.  A copy of each meeting is also available for checkout from the McDowell County Public Library and the Marion Davis Memorial Branch Library in Old Fort. The Channel features a detailed message board, various programs provided by government agencies, as well as original programming such as “Your County”, "The Untold Past", and "The McDowell Legacy Program."

The Government Channel is an important way of sharing information between County Commissioners and staff. But, it is most importantly a way for you to feel more connected to your elected officials and the multiple departments that serve the citizens of McDowell County.
