The McDowell County Maintenance Department has the responsibility of maintaining all County-owned buildings and grounds. There are 12 maintenance personnel and 4 custodians.
- Keep all County Facilities and Grounds in the most serviceable, safe and attractive condition possible in accordance with applicable federal, state and municipal regulations and standards.
- Renovate and improve public service work areas therefore, providing maximum safety, security and efficiency for employees and citizens.
- Answer all work order requests quickly and efficiently therefore, allowing a smooth operation for employees and the citizens they serve.
