This position is assigned to the McDowell County Parks and Recreation Department. Work hours will routinely be during the evening hours; Monday through Friday and occasional partial weekend days. Physical requirements are standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 100 pounds, walking long distances, working outside in heat and cold, and riding in vehicles.
The person in this position will serve as the primary gym/building supervisor during youth basketball, open gym, and other special functions in the gym and main building. This position will also assist in overall maintenance at the main building and other locations in the county. This will require general maintenance knowledge and basic janitorial functions. Other specific duties and responsibilities will be discussed with applicant at the interview process.
Candidate must possess a valid NC driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle.
