Position Objectives

Under general guidance from the Program & Outreach Librarian, the Teen Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and performance of all aspects of library service to young adults for the McDowell County Public Library. Also performs clerical and circulation duties in accordance with established policies.  Major responsibilities include programming, collection development, management of the Youth Services Department, patron assistance, outreach, and professional development. Assists with bookmobile routes and outreach activities.  This position is non-exempt under the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
