Position Objectives

The senior center is seeking job applicants for a part-time (up to 19 hours per week) position in food
service operations. Employee will primarily be washing pot, pans and utensils and other items used by
kitchen staff. This position is also involved in the cleaning activities which facilitate good sanitation and
food service. Also, employee will assist other staff with food preparation and serving as needed. Work is
performed under supervision by a higher-level food service employee and is reviewed regularly for
successful completion of assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, air dry and store all pots, pans, and utensils used in the preparation of meals. Assist with
storing stock and supplies. Maintain storeroom, freezer, and refrigerator as neat and orderly. Assist
with the maintenance of equipment through proper cleaning and preventive maintenance. Sweep and
mop kitchen floors daily. Assist with food preparation and serving as needed. Remove trash from
kitchen area and dining room.

This position is 19 hours per week primarily working between the hours of 9:00am-1:00pm Monday-
Thursday and 9:30-12:30 on Fridays.
